Books in the middle of reading:
Watts Wacker and Ryan Mathews' "The Deviant's Advantage: How to Use Fringe Ideas to Create Mass Markets"

Jonathan Franzen's "The Discomfort Zone: A Personal History"

Richard Dawkins' "The Selfish Gene"

Anthony Lane's "Nobody's Perfect: Writings from The New Yorker"

Books to read:
Marshall McLuhan's "Understanding Media".

Books I've abandoned before getting sidetracked:
Too many to name.

Last minute post from the airport. I bought a giant sudoku puzzle book yesterday. When I say giant, I mean giant as in 1000 puzzles. I figure if I solve 2-3 puzzles each day, I'll finish with the book in a year (absolutely no-life, yes). I'm bringing it along to Philippines though instead of a book, and hopefully I'll be less obsessed than I was with sudoku back in Hong Kong.

Tomorrow I'm off to Makati City, Philippines again. This will be my 4th trip there but still I've not learnt the city well. At least it'll be sunny there.

Just finished reading Lynne Truss' "Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation".

I know a certain school of thought will claim it's "Truss's book" instead, but old habits die hard.

The lineup for this year's Mosaic Music Festival is so exciting I've snapped up tickets to 4 gigs, and am considering another 2 more.

I sent you off at the airport, and bumped into an acquaintance while walking away from the Departure Hall. Coincidentally, he was also sending off his girlfriend; but I'm luckier since I'll meet you sooner than he'll meet her.

One month is still too long for me though.

Since the start of this year, I've:
Watched Sixteen Candles, Borat and Pan's Labyrinth.
Read John Battelle's "The Search".
Gotten curious about ambient intelligence.

Not switched over to the new Blogger login.

It doesn't feel like a new year. Not just yet.
