We went for our first marathon karaoke session after being together for more than a year.
I finally wore the weirdest skirt I own: a pink, polka-dotted, asymmetrical, pleated, lace-trimmed piece I bought from Hong Kong and have never worn since. It sounds much worse than it actually is.
You finally realised that the only way to pan fry gyoza is to totally defrost them first (so much for "from the freezer to the fire to the table"), and along the way, you unearthed a pack of gyoza in the freezer which was bought nearly a year ago.
Never say never.

1. remove gyozas from freezer
2. remove gyozas from packaging
3. heat a little oil in saucepan (juz enough to coat the saucepan)
4. lightly pan fry gyozas till lightly golden brown
5. turn down fire
6. pour some water into the saucepan (approximately 5mm - 8mm depth) and cover the saucepan with a cover.
7. simmer until all water has been absorbed & bottom of gyoza is golden brown.
this is the cookinh method for chinese guo-tie & also gyozas, giving u a crisp 'bottom', soft 'top' & juicy center.
substitute japanese gyozas with chinese jiaozis and u'll get guo-tie :)
