Today I learnt something new about film integrity. I was taught the importance of preserving original aspect ratio, which is the shape the director intended the film to be viewed in. I was watching a 1:37 aspect film accidentally projected as 1:85, but I didn't know the difference at first. Yet after it was highlighted to me, my eyes kept skirting the boundaries of the screen to check what was missing.
