I was telling limabean that among my secondary school classmates, I was the only one in class who didn't have any musical training. I didn't play the piano or violin, and I didn't dance ballet. The music teacher took it for granted though that everyone in class could read musical notes, and gave us music sheets to fill in. I was stumped. Luckily, some girls helped me out.

Well, Madonna doesn't read music either (or at least not for a long time), and look at her now. But back then in secondary school, my ego was dealt a blow. I don't know if this is partly why I'm so into music now.
