The December issue of the IT magazine Intelligent Enterprise Asia did an overview of different Asian countries to find out how IT savvy they are. Singapore is supposed to have a PC penetration rate of 59% (6 out of 10 households own at least one computer) while the mobile phone penetration rate is also 59%.
I would have thought more Singaporeans had mobile phones. Or since PC and mobile phone penetration are supposedly the same, should we infer that the same Singaporean who owns a mobile phone also owns a PC? Strange.
