Added another 512MB RAM to my 3+ year old laptop and it's now zipping along so much faster. The sales person who upgraded my RAM told me there are customers who are still using their IBM thinkpads after 7 years. Wow.

  • Haha! In my office we have a Gateway which is possibly like 6 years old?! It's so old it doesn't have a USB port! In order to transfer data in, we ended up having to break up a single file to be saved on multiple 3-inch disks!

    Damouse -- do you write elsewhere or you on a permanent hiatus? I used to bookmark you & would be keen to update it if you've moved on and don't mind a reader. ;)

  • i was on what i thought was a permanent hiatus.

    but i guess like i always say in relation to jobs, never say never and nothing lasts forever -- words that have come back to bite me on the ass elsewhere.

    i might start again. dont know for now... but vaya will know. (er in case it's not yet abundantly clear, da.mouse.com is a BS URL.)
