While in university, I saw on the tele a guy teaching a memory trick for remembering the sequence of the planets. The planet nearest to the sun makes you think of hot so Mercury. Mercury tossed a ball to Venus (he actually had a ball which he passed to the audience). Venus tossed it to Earth, then Earth tossed it to its fiery neighbour Mars. Next to the largest of all Jupiter. Then come SUN (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune) and finally the tiniest Pluto received the ball last. Who says you never learn anything from the idiot box? :)
