My ex-colleague in Poland emailed about bruised strawberries. She mentioned that although it is the strawberry season, it's rather hard to find a full basket of fresh, unbruised strawberries. It seems like lots of callers rang up the radio station to make the same complaint. Perhaps the good ones are snapped up by exporters, hotels or restaurants, or perhaps it is in how they're stored. I wonder how strawberry picking went for the friend in Chicago?
