On sports, duck (Hegemony!) and love. In the game of cricket, the term duck has the same meaning as love in tennis, ie. zero. The former is cos it's a short form for duck egg, which looks like zero; the latter is cos of the french l'oeuf. What I don't understand is, how hard is it to say zero instead?
