I just watched LOTR with my longest-serving movie companion... my mum. When the chinese subtitles appeared, I heaved a sigh of relief. Since my mum doesn't understand English, LOTR would have been too complicated and too long for her to sit through without aid. Before the movie, I tried to give her a brief synopsis but words failed me. I couldn't find the chinese words to describe hobbit, orc etc. Thank goodness they managed to add chinese subtitles. We weren't so lucky when we caught Ocean's 11 last Saturday. Anyway, LOTR was a visual feast and we love Frodo's (Elijah Wood) eyes.

Sorry I watched it first though I'm supposed to catch it with you. I'll watch it with you again though. :)
