Surprisingly, one of the CDs I bought recently was the last Aaliyah album. It's probably the first R&B album I've got. Would I have bought this if she hadn't died in an air crash? Well yes, it's a well-produced catchy album. But I know I'm a music bigot, and I still pigeon-hole people according to whether they listen to Mariah Carey songs.
