When I woke, I watched the VCD movies All about my Mother and March comes in like a Lion. Depressing fare. I wonder why I take leave to stay home and watch quirky art flicks.

All about my Mother is a Spanish film about a woman whose son was struck dead in a car accident. She left for Barcelona in search of his father, whom she told the son had died before he was born. Actually the father is now a transvestite called Lola.

On the other hand, March comes in like a Lion is a strange Japanese movie about incest. There was a girl who loved her brother dearly, so when he lost his memory in an accident, she told him she's his lover.

Truth is stranger than fiction, but fiction tries darn hard.
